Greg Daines is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of LumenIP. For 20 years Greg has been innovating at the front lines of IP management. An MIT graduate, Greg’s early career was focused on the economic and policy considerations of intellectual property. Following academia, Greg founded Knowligent IP Systems, the first web-based IP system to provide large research institutions end-to-end management of their portfolio development and licensing programs. Knowligent was used by such institutions as Partners Healthcare, The Dana Faber Cancer Institute, the University of Illinois, University of Washington and Purdue University. From Knowligent, Greg joined Lecorpio as an early member of their senior leadership team. Greg drove product development, implementation and customer success, including major new releases and the on-boarding of many of Lecorpio’s largest clients including, Adobe, Amazon, Apple and Google, to name a few.
Greg is a passionate visionary and advocate for applying process and technology innovation to IP management. He frequently publishes and presents on such topics as process optimization, the use of advanced data, and cloud computing in IP operations.
Ralph Schroeder is the co-founder and COO of LumenIP. Over the course of his 20 year career, Ralph has developed a strong reputation as a thought leader in IP management best practices. Trained as an attorney, Ralph was a founding member of the PricewaterhouseCooper Global IAM Practice, the first strategic advisory practice focused on intellectual assets. Since PwC, Ralph’s career has been focused on envisioning, founding and building IP service companies. Ralph has held senior management positions with Delphion (now Thomson Reuters), Dennemeyer, Anaqua and Hyperion. Ralph’s roles have spanned strategy, process improvement, IP service delivery and technology. Over the years Ralph’s clients have included 3M, AbbVie, Abbott Laboratories, General Electric, Google, IBM, Kraft Foods, Motorola, and Qualcomm, to name a few.
Ralph is an active contributor to the latest thinking in IP management. Ralph frequently publishes and presents on best practices in IPM, including recent features in IAM Magazine, the World Trademark Review, the International Legal Technology Association, IPO, INTA, the Association of Chief Patent Counsel, and the Association of Corporate Counsel.
